Clay Rattles”

with Artist Kathy Kerner

Wednesdays, February 4th & 11th, 1pm

This project will focus on the beauty of the object while also bringing some historical Native American symbolic images. These objects were often used in spiritual ceremonies for healing and centering. The sound and vibration of these handheld rattles can help to shift your energy. Kathy will walk you through the making of the form and provide symbols for stamping on the surface. Many symbols such as the lotus flower may bring renewed health, rebirth, and resilience in the ancient cultures who used them. These rattles are meant to bring joy and awareness. By: Kathy Kerne
